There are supposed to be available at ticket machins in 7-11, Lawsons, etc, but it wasn't working when I went, so I hopped on the subway and got my ticket from the box office-open at 11 AM on game days until 20 minutes after the game ends. I didn't have a difficult time getting tickets at all. When the home team scores a run, the stadium breaks out in an umbrella dance and the singing of Tokyo Ondo. When the opposition is at bat, it the turn of their fans. I didn't notice any razzing the opposition or their fans. The fans only cheer when their team is at bat. Japanese fans are unlike their North Ameican counterparts. Meiji Jingu is home to the Yakult Swallows and the atmosphere is amazing. It has been moderised over the years, but still has the feel of an old-school stadium. Meiji Jingu Satdium is one of the ldest in Japan and is one of the few remaining stadiums that Babe Ruth played in. ![]() First of all, I'm not a huge baseball fan, in fact I hadn't been to a 'live' baseball game since the mid-80s, but sports fan or not, if you have time, a Japanese Baseball League game should be a 'must-do'.
